A history of prestige and success that began in 1864 and has spanned more than 160 years. The Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo is a symbol of luxury and quality, offering the finest hospitality and top-tier services. It was recognized by professionals in the tourism and luxury hospitality industries, who gathered on September 15 at the Salles du Carrousel in Paris for the ceremony marking the fourth edition of the 50 Best Hotels 2026. Among the world’s 50 best hotels, the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo ranks 40th. Louis Starck, General Manager, and Vincent Chasseignaux, Hotel Manager—both of whom attended the awards ceremony—expressed their satisfaction. This recognition comes on top of its inclusion in *La Liste 2026*, which ranks the world’s 1,000 best hotels.
This has been an important year for awards, as last June the hotel also receivedWine Spectator’s2026 “Best of Award of Excellence,” an award recognizing the quality and preservation of the wine collection housed in the Caves de l’Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, built in 1874 at a depth of 12 meters. This treasure trove houses over 300,000 bottles and more than 11,000 different wines spread across 1,500 m². To this day, they remain the largest hotel wine cellars in the world.
Its Belle Époque architecture also exudes excellence. The renovation was completed in 2019 after five years of work: 206 rooms and suites, including the exceptional Diamond Suites—notably the Prince Rainier III Diamond Suite and the Princess Grace Diamond Suite.
This jewel of the Monte-Carlo SBM Group’s hospitality industry boasts four Michelin stars, awarded to Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse*** and Le Grill*.
