Massimiliano Mordenti Sets World Record on a 100% Bioethanol-Powered Sustainable Jet Ski

Monaco.

From the Yacht Club de Monaco, the official starting and finishing point, Massimiliano Mordenti, an official pilot of the Fédération Monégasque Motonautique and founder—along with his wife Erminia Fezia Mordenti—of the Offroad Club Monaco (OCM), accomplished an unprecedented feat and set the UIM world record for the longest distance traveled by jet ski, traveling from Monaco to Gallinara Island (Liguria, Italy) and then returning to the Principality.
On Monday, September 15, 2025, despite less-than-ideal sea conditions, the OCM team decided to take on the challenge, driven by their spirit: a record conceived not only as a sporting achievement but also as an opportunity to promote a more responsible and environmentally friendly sport.

A crossing that lasted about three hours, beginning at 1:10 p.m., which will go down in history not only for its sporting significance but also for its symbolic importance: a record set using a jet ski powered 100% by bioethanol.
