Ideas and projects that come to fruition, the result of careful reflection and in-depth research aimed at finding new solutions and enabling evolution and growth. The ability to reinvent itself is a cornerstone of the Société des Bains de Mer (Monte-Carlo SBM) Group’s vision. This was explained by the Monegasque group’s president, Stephane Valeri, during a press conference held on September 18 at the Monte-Carlo Bay & Resort, at the traditional meeting with journalists following the annual shareholders’ meeting. The Monegasque giant is publicly traded, and the Monegasque government is the largest shareholder with a 64% stake. The SBM president spoke of significant structural projects that will continue at least until 2030, similar to what took place at the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo in 2019 following five years of expansion and modernization work.
In a year, in the fall of 2027, major construction projects will begin, starting with the addition of three stories to the Monte Carlo Bay & Resort. The project includes new rooms and suites, as well as private pools and gardens. Next is the Terme Marine, which is in need of a true revitalization. To achieve excellence—not only in wellness services and treatments—the facility will first need to be demolished and then rebuilt with an expansion that will provide a total area of 13,000 square meters, divided among new apartments, shops, and even public rooftop gardens.
During the construction phase, guests will be welcomed and provided with services to enjoy wellness treatments at the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, which features a spa and a swimming pool that will be fully covered so it can operate year-round. The same applies to the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, which will offer a spa with a rooftop pool.
