Italian fashion, now bereft of some of its most prestigious figures—the sublime King Giorgio and Valentino the Emperor—has managed to carry on such a distinguished legacy by offering new interpretations that remain true to the brand. This must be emphasized and reiterated to a public of consumers frightened by the idea that these fashion houses might not continue.
Under these labels today, one finds evidence of the founder’s original style, adapted to the successor’s aesthetic while incorporating touches of their own personality—as it should be—creating a reassuring common thread for the customer.
Among those who have decided to revitalize a renowned brand from the legendary “Made in Italy” era, breathing new life into it, is Sara Cavazza Facchini, who has served as creative director of Genny for over a decade. Sara has had to measure up to high-profile designers such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Lacroix, who preceded her in the transformation of a brand destined to stand the test of time, bringing her
unique sensibility to women’s style. Her refined creativity—which is both contemporary and tailored—was widely applauded last spring during Monte Carlo Fashion Week by the Monegasque audience at the stunning fashion show held at the Yacht Club, marking Genny’s official debut in the Principality. The winter and summer collections will therefore be available for purchase at the flagship store located inside the Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo mall, embodying the Italian style that has always been cherished on the Côte. Bravò!
