What if a sustainable future took shape right here in Monte Carlo, in just two days? OnOctober14and15, 2026, in the prestigious setting ofthe One Monte-Carlo Convention Center,EVER Monaco returns for its 21st edition, reaffirming its status as the Principality’s leading trade show dedicated toSustainable Mobility,Renewable Energy, and theEcological Transition.
An event where innovation and vision come together to explore the new frontiers of the industry, turning tomorrow into a tangible reality—from new applications of artificial intelligence to solutions for reducing emissions. On its“green carpet,”visionary startups, international experts, institutions, and the academic communitywill come together to transform ideas into concrete opportunities to accelerate decarbonization.

What innovations will change the way we live, travel, and generate energy?EVER Monaco is the place to discover this, share ideas, forge strategic partnerships, create new opportunities, and become an active part of the change.Sébastien Lubert (S.L.) confirms this exclusively. He has served as president since 2021 of MC2D (Monaco Développement Durable), anonprofitassociation that coordinates local environmental organizations to promotesustainable development, and is the current organizer of the EVER Monaco Forum. With advanced training in engineering (Editor’s note: specialization in ETP, public works, construction, and industry) and in geopolitics and international relations, he has set himself thegoalof fostering dialogue among key players in the public and private sectors to develop concrete, cutting-edge, andenvironmentally friendly solutions—that is, solutions in harmony with the balance of natural ecosystems.
OCM News: Artificial Intelligence (AI) opens up unprecedented possibilities in terms of energy optimization, but it also raises questions about its environmental footprint, given the high energy consumption required to power it.How does EVER Monaco 2026 intend to reconcile the potential of new digital technologies with the imperatives of energy efficiency and decarbonization, particularly in the transportation sector?
S.L.: I believethat AI can help us accelerate progress in certain areas by improving the management of energy, transportation, and resources. However,we mustalso consider the energy requirements involved: we cannot talk about an ecological transition without addressing this issue.
In my opinion, it all depends on how we use these technologies: if they enable us to tangibly reduce consumption and emissions, their contribution is fully justified. This applies to land transportation, as well as to maritime and air transportation. A forum like EVER Monaco aims to address precisely this issue—that is, to provide a concrete space that brings together stakeholders who do not always have the opportunity to meet, share experiences, and compare their solutions.
Technology is therefore a valuable tool, provided we never lose sight of one essential goal: to consume less and more wisely.
OCM News: This edition of EVER Monaco gives a central role to international startups working to develop solutions that facilitate the transition tofullysustainable mobility, such as testing new synthetic fuels derived fromCO₂(carbon dioxide), thermal batteries, anddigital twins for use in smart buildings (smart buildings) to improve energy performance, monitor consumption, and record in real time any anomalies that could impact energy consumption and pollutant emissions. What criteria do you use to identify the startups that will make their mark on the market in the near future?
S.L.:What matters most to me is not just the initial idea that everystartupis based on, but above all its ability to translate that idea into concrete results. A technology may seem promising on paper, but it must then prove that it works in practice, that it is economically sustainable, and that it produces measurable environmental benefits. This is an essential factor in an industry where many proposed solutions have yet to prove their effectiveness.
Through this dedicated competition, we aim to provide opportunities to entrepreneurs who offer innovative solutions to real-world problems. The Forum allows them to present the work they’ve done so far, meet investors, and exchange ideas with industry professionals. We cannot guarantee the success of their projects, but we can help foster synergistic connections. And often, that is precisely the missing piece needed to turn a good idea into a concrete project.
OCM News:What strategic vision do you intend to outline for the coming years to ensure that EVER Monaco becomes an increasingly indispensable event for sustainable innovation on the international stage?
S.L.: Since 2006, EVER Monaco has evolved in step with the challenges of its time. Today, new areas are opening up to be explored, new technologies to be understood, and new stakeholders to be brought together. Looking ahead, I hope the Forum will further strengthen its international dimension while remaining true to its identity: a place for open dialogue and building fruitful relationships. The Forum’s success will also be measured by what it is able to achieve once its proceedings have concluded.
At the end of each edition, I want participants to go home with something extra—whether it’s a simple exchange of business cards or fond memories to take with them. That’s what matters. Whether an entrepreneur has found a newpartner, astartuphas made progress in securing funding, or a company has identified a practical, feasible solution. WithEVER Monaco, the Principality of Monaco establishes itself as an international hub for expertise, capital, and innovation, fostering synergies capable of translating the ambitions of the Ecological Transition into concrete projects that can be replicated on a global scale. The true value of the Forum therefore lies not only in promoting sustainable solutions, but in creating the strategic connections necessary for them to translate into tangible change, far beyond Monaco’s borders.
