E1 Series: Team Monaco’s First Podium Finish in Luanda, Angola; Oban Duncan Named Driver of the Day

Team Monaco is in its first season in the UIM E1 100% Electric RaceBird World Championship. While the race in the Principality of Monaco did not yield the hoped-for results, the team secured a podium finish during the fifth round of the World Championship, held on September 13 in Luanda, Angola. Team Monaco, consisting of Maxime Nocher and Oban Duncan, took second place. The two drivers staged an extraordinary comeback, even overcoming a mechanical issue with their RaceBird. On the top step of the podium was Team Brady, composed of Sam Coleman and Emma Kimiläinen. Third place went to Team Rafa, with Cris Lazarraga and Tom Chiappe. Oban Duncan, who set the fastest lap of the final with a time of 1:12.218, was also named Driver of the Day. Team Monaco jumped three spots in the overall standings, moving up to 6th place. The next round will take place on November 13 and 14, 2026, in Miami for the season’s final race.
